FG License: I currently only have the Demo level, as me and my group are still feeling out what FG is like!

Time Zone: Central time -6.

Day(s) of week, frequency, and time: Available after 6 most week days.

Term: Preferably a one-shot.

Voice: Preferably Discord but am willing to use whatever it easiest for the GM.

Game System Preferred: Anything welcomed, D&D 5E and Savage Worlds preferred.

Game System Experience: GM'd 20+ sessions of Deadlands Reloaded. Played 20+ sessions of Star Wars Saga. Played 10+ sessions of D&D 5E and counting! ALL at the table!

Fantasy Grounds Experience: Zero. But I am genuine in wanting to learn. Some of my regular gaming group is moving, and so we're looking into VTT. I've heard alot of great things about FG, and want to dive in.

Character Type Preferred: I'm happy to play any class, but usually find myself playing characters similar to say, Boba Fett or Paladins of Vengeance. Or as I've been described before, like Jayne Cobb from Firefly.

About me: I'm here to find a willing GM to help me, and maybe even some of my gaming group to learn the ropes of Fantasy Grounds so we might have many great tales to come. I like action and intrigue, but certainly don't mind social games. I tend to joke a lot but keep most of that in character, usually punctuating game play with movie like lines. My roleplay style, though I do like to 'win' mechanically, sometimes I do things to the detriment of my character if I think it makes for good story and fun play.

I'm a new player in the same boat, looking for a DM/Game/Group so I can start learning. I would be happy to join you.

Hi to both Stonefang and GoodJobDog, and Welcome! to both of you to the Community,

If you haven't done so already, let me encourage you to take a look at some of the great Tutorial Videos available on the Fantasy Grounds Wiki (and on YouTube). Damn's are good, as are Xorn's, and people seem to like mine as well (mine are also available from the links in my sig, below).

Start with the ones on the CoreRPG, because the CoreRPG forms the foundation of just about all the RPGs we play with Fantasy Grounds - so by learning how to use FG with the CoreRPG you'll learn about 80% of what you'll need to know to play any RPG with Fantasy Grounds. Once you've gone through the CoreRPG Videos you can then go on to Videos about your chosen RPG.

When you get familiar with the basic Fantasy Grounds product the next step is to check out some of the Extensions (Plug-Ins) for FG, such as the DOE: Sound (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?31369-DOE-Sound-Extension), DOE: Locations (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?20794-DOE-Locations-Extension), DOE: Weather (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?22142-DOE-Weather-Extension) and DOE: Organisations (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?27169-DOE-Organisations-Extension) Extensions (to name a but a few - and a Shameless™ Self Plug).

You may also way to drop into the FG College (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?40020-Join-Fantasy-Grounds-College-Learn-Fantasy-Grounds-learn-D-amp-D-and-then-play!); a great place for newcomers to get started.

And of course, there's plenty of Twitch Channels where you can watch games in progress.

And keep on asking questions - we're a pretty friendly lot here, and we love answering questions.

Cheers

Hi, I'm fairly new to FG as well, I have the ultimate version. If you (and others) want to play test an ad lib crawl later on tonight to learn the mechanics of the software I would love to do that. Let me know. I'm in Florida/Eastern Std.

Edit: I have the 5E DMG, PH, Monster Manual, and one campaign setting.

Sure thing, sounds great! I'll let my group know to see if anyone of them are interested too. I'll PM you with some contact details!
