View Full Version : Will FG Support a D20 Star Wars Ruleset?

Hi there,

I have not purchased FG yet, I’m highly considering it for playing D&D 5E, but I also want to know if I’d be able to use it with the D20 SWRPG or Saga Edition? I am not interested in the FFG version of the SWRPG.

I was hoping someone could shed some light on if Fantasy Grounds is doable for one of the older SW games?

Thanks!

There's a saga edition ruleset linked in the wiki (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Ruleset:_Star_Wars_Saga).

Note that FG can be used to run ANY game, regardless if their is a dedicated ruleset for that game system or not.

If their is not, then you can use one of the generic rulesystems, CoreRPG, MoreCore, DORCore where you can create your own character sheets, and play. Some of the three rulesets have more or less automation (rolls, etc) and regardless you will have to create things like items (weapons, vehicles, etc) if you want a collection of items for the player to select from.

Also, be aware of this really cool offer from one of the community members; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?44600-Unsupported-Game-Systems-Offer

Awesome! I didn’t see it on the main website so I didn’t think it was available. Thanks!

Follow up question: I will be purchasing a new laptop soon, but I do have a desktop right now. Could I install FG on both devices or should I wait till I get my laptop? (Preferred device would be the new laptop.)

You can install FG on two computers with one license. You just won't be able to use one to connect to the other or use them both at the same time.

Perfect! I think I shall pull the trigger then!

Cheers!
