Linking an image to a story

If I want an encounter linked to a part of the story, I can use cntrl-5 and then just drop the encounter onto the link.

How do I do the same with an image, so that the story text has such a link and I can just select the lin to bring up the image?

Same thing. Drag the image and drop it into the story.

I thought that, but when i tried darggin the image (as a jpg) from the folder, it does not work??

The image needs to be in the FG Maps & images list, then you drag the link from there. You can't drag an image straight from a folder outside FG, it needs to be recorded in the FG database first.
