Got the Preview PDF too. I've found a few grammar issues, but I'm liking it so far. I've got to print out a character sheet, but their's a step in character creation that I don't quite follow yet.
I'm also not sure I'm on board with calling a Player a "Species"..what's up with that??

"Each Species has a variety of Skills and Talents to choose from.
You may choose 3 skills to gain 5 Advances, and 3 skills to gain 3
Advances. You gain each Talent choice, if there is a choice, once.
Any Random Talents are determined by the Random Talent
table. If you roll a Talent you already have, you may reroll."

I'm not sure they didn't mean to say "3 talents to gain 3 Advances"?

I just got a reply from Cubicle7:

"Nope - it means what it says. I suppose it could've been written "You get to add 5 Advances to 3 skills of your choice, and then 3 Advances to 3 other skills of your choice".

So I think it means that you can add:

3 advances to one skill and 1 advance to another 5 skills
or
2 advances to each of two skills and 1 advance to another 4 skills

eg it is directing you on how to allocate these 8 advances.

Yes... I think you are probably right.
For a total of 6 skills.
So you cant have 1 skill with 8.
