I just started my first campaign in D&D 5e and wondering why the party isn't showing CON bonus for their HP. They're getting full die, but no CON bonus. Obviously, as DM I can fix this, but wondering why such an obvious add has been overlooked.

Welcome limeybean - how did you setup your characters?

Hi limeyben, welcome to FG.

To make sure your players get their CON bonus they should pay particular attention to how they create characters. First add in their ability scores, then drag in (in order) race, background and finally class. More detailed information on character creation here (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/5E_Character_Sheet).

That would be pretty much the opposite order of how I went about things, which may explain why the barbarian with a 16 CON stat only shows as having 12 HP. Thanks for the reply and in answer to the original question, it was 4d6 (drop lowest) assigned as the character desired. I forget what order the other three defining characteristics were applied, but pretty sure that I got that order wrong also. I'll patch my mess and hopefully start using your very wonderful tool properly in the future.:o

Hey limeyben

Now that you have some characters made - remaking them side by side takes only a few minutes.
The drag and drop makes things so much easier.
Some people swap order of race+background.
