View Full Version : Looking for players - Age of Myth

Hi folks,

I'm currently working on a low fantasy setting based on Norse mythology. Still got some way to go, but would like to see if there's any interest for players here, to be played every other week. The pitch is this:

Characters will start at as 14 year old individuals, at a low point-break of 20-points (refer to the Young Norse Template) for what’s estimated to be one or two sessions. From there they will evolve to their adult iteration. The adventure starts as follows:

“You are a Norse youth, about to come of age. You father was most likely a farmer, hunter or fisherman, and from an early age you followed on his footsteps, learning as much as you could. He taught you how to honor the gods, to live according the virtues of your kin and how to respect and live off the land, and as much as he knew how to protect yourself. Now, you stand before the elders of your clan, ready to assume your position amongst the adults, should you survive your coming of age.

For as long as it’s remembered, a Norse comes of age when he crafts for himself his first pair of bracers. Some clans turn to the sea, where leather cladded animals can be used to make valuable armor. In the far north, some of the Norse travel into deep ice, in search of big game. Others still turn to the woods. Such is your clan.

Year after year you`ve seen friends and relatives undertake the ritual, some never to return: to venture deep into the woods, track, find and slay an animal worth of a Norse, and from it fashion the braces. Today, on the month of you 14th birthday, it`s your turn.”

If you're interested, check out pages 4 and 12 to see if you would enjoy the game! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ua9E0wMYaqHytekuDg1E-A-bXFvFK_Hs/view

EDIT 1: the trait lists at the end are somewhat inaccurate, they work as a basis but I'm still trimming some odds and ends.
EDIT 2: Traits should be okay now.

Do you have an expected day and time you would be looking to run this game?

Ah, of course, totally forgot to write about that!

It would be either saturday or sunday, at somepoint from 1 pm to 6 pm British Summer time, every other week. I would wage a 3 hour or so session.
