I know I asked this before but I am unclear. I use WinRAR for my zipping needs. Notepad++ for my module creation. I created a folder labaled Test_Module. Inside this folder are the definition.xml and the client.xml files. I right clicked on the folder Test_Mod and "added to Test_Mod.rar. Is this correct? What do I do f rom here? I placed the rar file into my module folders in the roaming section of fantasy grounds. Not showing up. Can one of you be kind as to give me a step by step guide in testing and producing my mod files? Here is what I understand so far.

1) Create a Folder to store the module files such as images and the core xml files.
2) Open Notepad, create a new project. Enter in the required definition tags. Save as definition.xml in the above created folder.
3) Create another new project for the mod material. I have a template that goes between the root tags. I make a couple of reference objects. Save as client.xml in the abover folder.
4) Right click and add the whole folder to a file compression.
5) Lost...

Thanks guys. I am so close to a breakthrough with my mod creation and just need a little more guidance.

Firstly FG won't recognize .rar files so use the built in zipper in Windows or download WinZip or 7zip.

When zipping something up select all the files in the folder and zip those. Don't zip the folder itself. This video demonstrates this (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?43011-How-to-make-a-Token-Module&p=382389#post382389).

If you end up using 7z,ensure that when you go to zip the folder you use the "Add to (filename).zip" and not the "Add to (filename).7z" option. Two different compression methods and FG does not read a .mod file that was compressed as .7z

<rant mode on>
Why do people use compression formats other than zip?
Yes - I get that dufferent formats can have advantages in some situations but these are irrelevant when some/most/all of the audience doesnt know what a rar/arj/7z/etc file is?
It most especially irks me when I see IT people use these formats when sending stuff to end users....

Just a pet peeve of mine...
