Hi,

Trying to get grounded with my understanding of fantasy grounds.

Have played enough that I generally understand DnD, digitally....i'm a little unsure.

Google took me to some possible useful posts, but not quite what I'm looking for.

Is there a "comprehensive" list/guide of basic set of stuff you should buy/download/install for running FG as the DM?

Is there a general "Noob Night" for a roleplay light fantasy grounds based play through?

Beyond a license, PHB, MM. Looking to eventually run my own homebrew 5thed Game.

Apologies to the mods in advance for me posting in the wrong thread.

Hi tpkhappens welcome to FG.

You may want to start with the links in this post (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?27296-Guides-videos-and-other-helpful-information).

You may also benefit from a visit to the FG College (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?40020-Join-Fantasy-Grounds-College-Learn-Fantasy-Grounds-learn-D-amp-D-and-then-play!).

My Z. also put together a very good post on the various 5E products and what you may want to buy. See; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?32987-What-do-I-need-to-play-5e

Thanks to both of you.

Looks like I have a good place to start reading.

I'm more of a get the basics and homebrew the rest kind of guy. That and the wife would kill me if she found out I spent $2000 all at one time on DnD. The way I have spaced it out over the years has made that a bit easier :)
