From what I see, there's no means to put a token portrait into chat. PC have a dedicated portrait icon automatically created for them using the masks. (see desktop/scripts/chat_entry.lua).
Is there a way to do this for NPCs? It sounds like a built in feature.
My usecase for this is to replace the 'Turn' graphic with a portrait of the acting creature or pc to more easily graphically track what occurred on who's turn as opposed to fishing through blocks of text. The ability to create my own portrait mask for the 'turn portrait' would be optimal but sounds unsupported.
