View Full Version : Starfinder - Community Extensions

This is a thread that will help people to find community produced extensions for their Starfinder games.

If you have developed an extension (or know of one that has been developed), please post here with a link to where it can be found. Only freely distributable material please - OGL, creative commons, etc.. No copyright material will be listed here.

Instructions on how to install an extension here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Data_Files_Overview#Extensions

The following are extensions compatible with Starfinder:

Steve's Simplified Bars and Icons themes for StarFinder (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?48877-Hacking-a-Theme)
Minor QoL changes (ammo reload and inventory ordering) (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?53945-SFRPG-Quality-of-Life-changes)

Extensions written for CoreRPG should also work, they are available here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?20320-FG-3-0-CoreRPG-Extensions. But check the thread for each individual extension to see if there are any specific ruleset limitations.

Please post comments on individual extensions in the specific extension thread (linked above) - please keep this thread for info on new/updated extensions. Thanks!

Developers - you're welcome to look at the code in these extensions as examples of how to develop your own extensions. If you want to use the code, please be polite and get in touch with the developer who made the extension and ask permission to use their code (send them a PM and post in the relevant extension thread). Some developers may no longer be active in the community, give the dev a couple of weeks to respond and if they don't respond you have done the polite thing and should be able to use their code (as long as the extension does not specifically say you can't). If you do use other people's code please mention them in the extension - it's only fair to give credit where credit is due.

Extension developers who don't want other people to use their code should say so in their extension.

Hi Dulux - love the extension as always. So much so I bought your soundlink mod on DMS guild. I'm running into an issue tho- I placed the file in my mod folder and went to activate the mod, but I'm not seeing it. The two explanations are the obvious (user error) or maybe the mod doesn't have the new SFRPG ruleset listed?

No, the current month's version doesn't, but the new month's version will, so what I'll do is shoot you a free copy of May's version once its released - OK?

('PM me your email and I'll get it to you)

LAE:Expanded Starfinder Options

Provides an attack output "prettifier" option and a max normal and effect die damage on criticial option. Perhaps more options coming down the road as I play SFRPG more.

The default Simple Gray theme in FGU does not have toolbar buttons for Ship Combat Tracker, Class Features and Class Special Features. So I added them to a modded theme. Note that I didn't find the correct font used on the buttons so it is slightly different. This is a quick hack, a copy paste job. So don't expect much. After I fixed it I noticed that there are a few small SF themed icons not skinned by the theme either, they are not changed by this.

Sorry to hear this. You obviously put a lot of work into the extension and it worked well when I tested it. Thanks for making the effort.

Russell has been putting his heart and soul into everything he has done for as long as I have known him. Would have been nice for him to be notified PRIOR to doing all the work that he did on this and DoMW

The problem was it was too Starfinder specific, there is brain storming going on elsewhere for a more general Location System.
Will see what happens.

Samarex,
That sucks! Thanks for working on this. It's too bad that Starfinder is too Starfinder specific. And it couldn't stay around long enough until whatever is "being brainstormed" sees the light of day? Sheesh! Each game has specific things. That's what makes them special and why I only play some of them. If everything is just going to be generic, then maybe we should be reconsidering our investment in FG and look elsewhere for a more open community.

When talking about this, I just asked that any changes like this remain in extension form, and not be internalized into the ruleset (in order to not conflict with future plans). I gave no other direction about the existence of the extension, and I think it's fine if it remains an extension.

I really want to thank you for this. I GM Starfinder Society games on FGU, and a lot of the encounters include custom creatures that aren't available in any of the Alien Archive books. This will cut my prep time down in a big way.

Do you happen to know if a similar parser is in the works for starships, since that is another area where I spend a lot of prep time?

Thanks, and keep up the great work.

There is a new extension named ChatBat that I have started using in my SF games that makes targeting very quick for GM and Players. Here is a link to it https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?65432-ChatBat-(Chat-comBat-Extension)&p=574531#post574531 I put the Chat commands into the hotkey bar and you can cycle through enemy or friendly tokens. As you cycle through the range arrow also switches to the targeted token.

I have added Starfinder as a supported ruleset for my Ammunition Manager (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?61372-PFRPG-Ammunition-Manager) extension.
But I don't know Starfinder rules very well so there is doubtless room for improvement. Let me know what isn't following Starfinder rules if you try it out.

A simple Theme extension to change the Starfinder ruleset dice tower to the Starfinder Society symbol.

Get it from the FGU Forge (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/500/view)!

Make comments here (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?72576-Starfinder-Dice-Tower-Theme).

I've been looking for a place for SFRPG bug reporting anyone know where?

Character sheet incorrectly calculates the encumbered number it calculates it as 1 more than your STR ie STR +1, it should be (STR/2)+1. Simple bug to fix...

I have updated my Starfinder Society Dice Tower extension. I removed the version number from the file name. If you use this extension, you may need to reselect it the next time you load your Starfinder campaign. The version number and a link to the Forge listing will now be displayed in the chat window when you start your campaign.

I'm pleased to announce that I've uploaded the Starfinder Starship Enhanced Extension to the Forge. https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/1415/view

With this extension, players can now:

Build Their Own Starship: Customize your starship from the ground up.

Balance Shields in Combat: Adjust and maintain your ship's shields during skirmishes.

Apply Bonuses: After successful evade maneuvers, add miscellaneous tl and ac bonuses to your starship.

Repair Systems: Easily mend ship systems and weapon mounts when they glitch.

Damage Arc Selection: Choose the correct damage arc and apply damage directly on the combat tracker.

To Ensure Proper Function:

1.Drop the PC ship into the party sheet. From there, drag it to the ship combat tracker as usual.

2. The GM should then click the ship control checkboxes on both the player they wish to grant control to (specifically on that player's ships tab).
59130

3. Next, click the ship control checkbox in the ship combat tracker.
59132

4. Players should now have the capability to modify items on the ship's tactical page.
59133

5. Additionally, damage can be selected and applied to the PC ship on the player's combat tracker. Just select the appropriate arc and click 'apply damage'.
59134

Got thoughts or ideas on the extension? Don't be shy – shoot them my way. If something's off or you think of a cool tweak, I'm all ears. Let's make this thing even better together!

Cheers!
