You are all from the world of Oerth, specifically from the Flanaess, the eastern part of the continent of Oerik, one of the four continents of Oerth.
For years the coastal towns have been burned and looted by the forces of evil. You and your fellow adventurers have been recruited by local nobles of the Pomarj to root out and destroy the source of these raids. But beware, hundreds of good men and women have been taken by the slavers and have never been seen or heard from again!—You arrived in Highport yesterday, a base for these accursed slavers. Highport was once a human city, but the land and town have been overrun by humanoids - orcs, goblins, kobolds, ogres, and gnolls. Looted, burned, and ill-kept, as for humans, the old city has become a base for only human outcasts wishing to deal with these unsavory creatures. Your party, provided with transport, has managed to arrive in Highport and pose as one of these groups come to deal and trade with the locals. With the help of a local halfling, you can find your way to a certain temple compound where the slavers may be based.It is time to put a stop to the marauders!
