Hello once again friends,
Another question for gm's building encounters...
When I load a bestiary module and pull a monster to put into an encounter, do I need to always have that module loaded for that monster to be useable in that encounter, or can I unload the module (to save loading time) and still have that monster useable in that encounter? Hope that makes sense...thanks for any help

Encounters hold links to the NPC, not the whole NPC data. So, if you add a NPC from a module you will need that module open.

You can create a copy of the NPC in the campaign, close the module and then use a link to the NPC copy.

How would I go about making the copy in the Campaign?

Drag the NPC into a New Group or your Campaign Group.

So is that done in the program itself? Can I just click on the NPC button, then drag a monster from the Bestiary Module into the "new campaign" module...or do i need to go out to all the root directories and do this stuff? Thanks again!

Yes. Just drag/drop the link icon for the NPC you want to copy within the NPC campaign data list (accessible through the button on the right side of the FG desktop). This is standard for all records, except images.
