I'm not sure how many GMs like to use music as a background prop during games, but I have personally found it to be an important tool in creating atmosphere. I have actually composed / produced fantasy music for quite a few years and many of the tunes are inspired by rpg game situations / purposes. If you are interested, you can find most of my material on youtube and Spotify. The artist name I use for this kind of fantasy music is Celestial Aeon Project.
