So tracing certain templates I came to (in CoreRPG) the template for “basic numbers” - it has a frame tag with a mergerul set to “replace”. If I have any understanding, that template “inherits” from “simplenumber” template. But looking at it and it’s own ancestors, I do not see one where it has a frame tag in them to override.
Is this an example of “future-proofing” as I suspect so that if it’s parents change this template will ensure it maintains control over the graphic it uses?
Because again if I understand, the action taken when a pair of templates meet and they have 2 of the same tags in same positions and each tag has a mergerule (really parent doesn’t matter but one could say it has a merge rune always anyway as it is “default”) - it is only the child most of the two that determines how the merge occurs.
