I have a Fantasy Grounds Ultimate license, and my players are connecting with demo clients. One of my players wants to DM a oneshot for the group. Is there any way to promote him to DM while I host the session?

Unfortunately there is not.
He can get a one month subscription for $10 and then he can host players (he still wont be able to use your content though).

You could if you really wanted to cancel the subscription within 30 days and not end up actually paying.
