Quick Question With grenades

I tried them just to see if and how they worked.

I'm assuming the radius effect and where it lands if miss etc etc... has to be done manually? Because it just made the player throw it.. and nothing. So like said I'm assuming the blast radius, saving throws and damage to everyone in it has to be done manually?

Not what the question intended but my fault for writing it this way, but what I wanted to know was answered in another unrelated thread. Thanks for the reply though.
