Just a quick little map of a field of stars I made for my some-day Starfinder campaign.

See, if I was smarter, I would have done that. I wouldn't have spent two hours maze-ing my way through tutorials to figure out how to do this one.
But I'm kind of a dumb, so I'm happy with this. :P

so I'm happy with this.
So you should be! It looks fantastic.

Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks for the feedback!
I might see if I can figure out some of the techniques for rendering some other bodies (black holes and planets/planetoids) and add them to this thread in the future.

Tinkering with systems now. I didn't bother labeling anything other than the rough geometry of the orbits, and nothing is to scale, but here it is.

If you decide to use this map and you're having trouble getting it to show up in your Images folder in FG, rename the actual map file. I just discovered that FG does not appreciate my cutesy attempt to use the alpha symbol.

So this starfield is likely too large an image for map use, but feel free to chop it up and do with it what you want.

I'd like to use it as a desktop decal with the Plain Gray theme in Starfinder, but I don't know how to get the decal to stretch across the entire desktop (under all the UI elements).
Any ideas?

Here is your image, converted to JPEG. It's plenty small now to use in FG.

I appreciate the conversion, Andraax--and I encourage anyone who wants to use this image as a map to use your jpeg version--but I was keeping it light on the compression-end for the sake of turning it into a desktop decal, as a way of spicing up the Simple Gray theme.

I tried doubling the decal's resolution.
It's looking like decals are limited to the size of a framed area.
This means that I'll have to modify the theme, instead, I'm guessing.

So this is what I ended up with. 22395
I'd love to share the extension, but it's just a modified version of the Simple Gray Theme by Moon Wizard. I'll see if I can get his approval to share.

And upon closer inspection, I need to figure out how to make text legible in the chat box. :P
