Resetting Rounds to 1

I can't find how to reset the rounds to 1 on the combat tracker. Anyone know how to do this?

"Short Rest" from the CT tracker menu will reset a bunch of stuff (I always do this at the end of any combat). You can also manually do it by clicking the round counter, hitting backspace (to reset it to 0), then click the "next round" button.

Just click in the box and type whatever round you want it to be

A short rest will reset the Combat Tracker but will also reset other things you don't want to like warlock spell slots.

Try Combat Tracker -> Menu -> Initiative -> Clear All Initiatives.

This will clear all initiative values, and reset the round counter to 1.

Good grief so it does; I'd never noticed the resetting of the rounds bit.

I really wish this were clearer. I struggled with this for four or more sessions before finally getting a chance to look it up.

I found these ways, which I will now rank in preference order for myself when I find this thread again later. ;)


DM can use CT > Menu > Initiative > Clear all initiatives (as noted above)
DM can also click in Rounds field and enter any value (as noted above)
DM can reset combat with Short Rest
