Iron Bands of Binding

I just got an Iron Bands of Binding and read the description and it states:


A creature, including the one Restrained, can use an action to make a DC 20 Strength check to break the iron bands. On a success, the item is destroyed
, and the Restrained creature is freed. If the check fails, any further attempts made by that creature automatically fail until 24 hours have elapsed.

My question is: Can I repair the Iron Bands of Binding after it is destroyed i.e. use mending?

I don't believe mending lets you repair magical items effects.

I read Mending again, and you are correct. It can physically repair the item, but does not restore any magical properties.

So, is there any way that I could get it repaired and restore magical properties?

Up to your DM. Their are no rules written that address the creation of magical items.
