View Full Version : Module sharing question

So I'm getting ready to play a PC in a new campaign.

If I request access to a module I own but the DM doesn't I think he can now grant access to that module if he wants.

The question is... If I drag and drop something, say a feat or a weapon, from the module onto my character sheet will the links still function in game?

Thank in advance.

I've been Dm'ing with FG for almost two years and have never played a PC yet.
Since I have the Complete 5e bundle this hasn't come up before.

It depends on what type of link you used. Items and spells should be copied to the character sheet - so the link to the module is no longer used. I believe things like race, class, background still use the links.

Thanks Trenloe

I knew one of you Masterminds with all the answers would turn up.
I think we'll be ok then. The DM has the modules(Taimat), Complete Class Pack and the DMG. I'm pulling some stuff out of Volo's and I really want to be able to just drag it to me sheet and not have to manually enter it.
One of the reasons I like FG.

If you own the DLC then yes, you can fully utilize it when your GM allows you to load those modules. If he does not own it and he wants to examine your character sheet, he'll get an error dialog (or just a blank window) if he tries to click an ability that comes from the DLC he doesn't own.

Not a problem there. It's a friendly group. We use FG for everything now but still gather in my game room to play face to face. And have been for 10+ years now.
