The 3 Tabs Under Manage Characters

From the Fantasy Grounds launcher under Manage Characters there are three tabs above the chat window (after selecting start): Log, Roll, Points. Can someone explain what Roll and Points are for, and how would you use them? I think I understand the Roll tab, but the Points tab I have no idea how to use it; and I have experimented with that tab but no luck.

One is for using your roll method as defined by the GM and the other is for using a Point Buy set of rules which may have rules that have varying costs for higher scores.

Something like: up to 8 point cost 0, 10-16 point cost 1.

There are a few threads on setting up point buy. If that's what you're looking for do a "Site Search" for manage character point buy or something similar.
