Hi all,

I've been browsing these forums for a little while as I'm currently working on an extension to help out with my D&D game, and I noticed the "Ruleset Development List" sticky. (I also found a few other extensions that will be useful, thanks!)

As I am familiar with and have some interest in a couple of the rules systems mentioned (and have plenty of spare time for the moment), but as the sticky lacks any explanatory information and I haven't been around very long to know how these things work already, I'm curious to know what exactly "the deal" is with that: Is this for official rulesets? Are these community requests? Can anyone just sign up for these? I know some people sell extensions/modules (I'm not really clear on the distinction between the two) for FG, so is there any expectation/possibility of some kind of financial benefit for developing one of these, or are they purely volunteer efforts?

Thanks for any information :)

The List is for officially licensed rulesets. Community rulesets don't need licensing so they wouldn't be on any list. :)

All official DLC goes in the store (and by extension the Steam store) and you earn a commission of the sales, paid quarterly.
See this thread for more details (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?11156-Want-to-produce-official-FG-products-adventures-rulesets) and how to apply to be a DLC Developer. Just be warned: ruleset development is a major undertaking. Ask anyone whose done it. :)

Thanks! That pretty much answers all my questions about it. (And yeah, I figured if they were easy to do they'd already be done ;))
