Here's what I'm thinking. When the players are on a spiral staircase or if they're in a room with lots of different levels that you can stand on and fight, is there something that exists now that can make battlemaps like that? Or is that something for the future?

You can't do it within FG obviously but there are isometric Battlemaps out there. You can create them with Campaign cartographer for example. However they don't work too well in a 2d display.

There's nothing that specifically supports it in FG.

There's various apps out there. Campaign Cartographer has a very nice add on: https://secure.profantasy.com/products/per3.asp#&panel1-1 And there's a nice style in the 2016 annual: https://www.profantasy.com/annual/2016/march16.html

What I do is to put the maps together into a single image, and then don't use an FG grid and you can just put the tokens on the map/image. It won't give you distances or autoscale, but it still works pretty well.

Of course, you can also add the idea to the Wishlist too.
