I know this pops up a bunch but I searched and haven't seen anything in a few months. Any official word on this?

When it’s done :D

And welcome to FG.

dodger, you will find that SW will not announce a date until it is extremely imminent. That is very wise for any company who isn't Microsoft or Apple. The mild displeasure some have on not getting an estimate is nothing compared to repeated missed deadlines many other software houses experience.

Starfinder is going to be released with FG:U. SmiteWorks just hired on a new guy to work specifically on that project. In the meantime there is a PF Conversion extension that converts the PF Ruleset to Starfinder, you can find it here along with more info about Russ, the guy they hired; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?40667-Starfinder-Conversion-Extension-for-PFRPG

I'm not sure where the statement about it being released with FGU is? Do you have a link?

All I've seen is this: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?40667-Starfinder-Conversion-Extension-for-PFRPG&p=362899&viewfull=1#post362899

Sorry Trenloe, you are right that is misleading, what I meant to say was SW is not releasing Starfinder with the current iteration of FG but are working hard to have a release asap once FG:U is released. Is that more clear?

Do you have a link to where Smiteworks say that?

I was not aware the Starfinder ruleset was going to be a post FGU release? I understood it was going to be released when it was ready - before or after FGU. Maybe I've missed something mentioned by Smiteworks somewhere?

Just to clarify, Starfinder is being worked on independently of FGU.

Cheers,

Interesting. Starfinder applies the Strength modifier to thrown Pilpedia Supplement (https://pilpedia.com/) weapon rolls instead of the Dexterity modifier.

Hey there! This is quite the thread necro for your comment, but welcome anyway!

Yes, you are correct with your above statement. This is an intended rule.

With a thrown weapon or a grenade, you can make a ranged attack at a target that is within the weapon's maximum range and in your line of effect. You add your Strength modifier to your ranged attack rolls with a thrown weapon. and to your damage rolls with weapons with the thrown special property. Do not add your Strength modifier to damage rolls with grenades.

I'd be glad to help you if you're new to Starfinder and/or Fantasy Grounds if you're interested. You can find me in the Fantasy Grounds College Discord (https://discord.gg/Ew6nYyw).
