Not sure if this is the right place to post this (if not, please move), but when I log in as a DM and create a PC (to run as an NPC), the character's portrait does not show up in the upper left corner of the screen where the rest of the PC portraits are. Is there any way to fix that? "Taking Control" of the character sheet does nothing.

All characters are fully controllable by the GM at any time, but there is no way to specify that they should appear in the character list in the upper left. Only characters controlled by players connected to your game will appear there.

The Taking Control option in the Character Selection screen is simply to take ownership of a character, so that the character does not appear as an option for players logging into your session.

If you want to control a PC in your own game and have it appear at the top left of the screen, start a new instance of Fantasy Grounds and click on 'Join Game'. On the join screen enter a username and in the Host Address box type in localhost. You will now join your own game as a player.
