Disconnect/Reconnect Weirdness

So, I'm running Curse of the Crimson Throne with 3 people out in the 'real world' and my son on his laptop on the internal IP address. The game suddenly kicks him out and when he tries to get back on, it will not load or connect. It times out and says Host not available. Check Network Settings.

But, when he tries to log in with the external server alias, it lets him log in.

I thought he would not be able to log in with the alias if we are on the same network. Is there a setting somewhere that I am unaware of for this?

Hi steff the internal/external things is not a hard and fast rule. Most routers wont let traffic that appears to come from inside the network come back into the network. Its a security feature to stop people outside your network from pretending to be local to your network. In your case it doesnt seem to be valid. If it works that way keep doing it.

oh.. well that is good to know.

The funny thing is he was online and it just kicked him off... absolutely would not let him back on. So weird...
