View Full Version : Sorry off-topic question on OneDrive web page icon marks

I recently finally updated a bunch of my old coding mags and even some old-timey Dragons etc and all of sudden this morning (I let it run over night) some directories (the last ones I added yesterday) had marks like the following.

Now, I am not doing this via "sync folder" - I am merely dragging folders from my Explorer straight to the web page to upload on.

Any link to explanations? My googlefu kept only coming back with sync arrow green/blue-circle etc icons nothing like this one.

I get the same marks whether I drag to the OneDrive web page or to my local OneDrive folder. I suspect it just means this is a new folder. Check for these marks in 24 hours or so and see if they disappear on their own.

This is new behavior (and yeah, several have been "clearing" on own. They were from prior day and definitely there was no uploading to onedrive going on today judging from tcpdump) right? Because if not, I have been completely clueless all last week and before :)

I'm sure it is a new feature as you suspected. I subscribe to Windows services announcements and I know that OneDrive has been getting a lot of attention lately. I know "new" icons are nothing "new" (pun intended), but I didn't see any mention of this specific marker. It is likely such a minor change that it wasn't worth documenting.
