Creating a new class - Spell Casting

The class video was good, but the Highlander example does not cast spells.

If I wanted to create a spell casting class, what do I do with the features section?

Add a feature called Spellcasting with all the details about the caster. Have a look at a spellcasting class in the SRD to see the structure.
