Newb question - bars at the bottom?

I'm still exploring the interface. I read through the manual (sparse) and through the forums, but I've yet to find out what the 1-12 bar is at the bottom of the screen.

I assume they're linked to function keys, I notice that they are modified by alt and ctrl, but I haven't found out how to do anything with them.

Is there a reference somewhere that has this information?

You can configure those slots to be things like quick dice rolls, or other things you do a lot of. Try writting a dice roll command into the chat prompt, but before clicking enter, click and drag it into one of the slots.

Then click on the slot and it should activate the command..... at least it worked when I tried it.

Yes, and they can also be activated by the function keys as suggested.
