View Full Version : Is there an effect setup for Dodge?

As the title says, I am looking to see if it is possible to setup an effect for the Dodge action?

It is not an action I have a tendency of using but after reading a few scenarios that people have posted I might start doing it more when creatures can't get into range in a timely manner.

I wasn't sure if there was some way to setup the effect so any attack against the person would have disadvantage and then it it at the start of their next turn.

Thanks.

For dodge it would be ADVSAV: dexterity;GRANTDISATK
Set the targeting to self and the duration to 1 turn.

You can also just use the effect "Dodge", worked fine in my game last week.
edit: screenshot to show it working 21017

Indeed, and in fact this is better because it also tests to see if the character has and conditions such as unconscious or incapacitated which would negate the effect.

(Well done Caelen; somehow I had forgotten this one existed :))

That is great! Thanks for the info.

Now to figure out how to get that up by the effects section so I can use it for creatures also. I think that info is listed in one of the wikis.

Thanks again to both of you.

Pretty easy to set that up, too.
Click effects 21043 then make the effect and drag and drop onto NPCs on their turns 21044
