Hello, new to running Fantasy Grounds but trying it out due to many gamebreaking issues with D20Pro and my group is enjoying the program. However we use Hero Lab and I've been following guides for importing to Fantasy Grounds but I'm having issues.

I'm using the Character Converter to import characters made from Hero Lab to my Fantasy Grounds module, but I can't find them anywhere.

Marsan Pentil successfully converted.
Marsan Pentil successfully imported to campaign Thornkeep

They aren't under characters or NPCs. Am I doing something wrong?

Welcome to the forums, RenScotson! Someone familiar with the importer will be along soon to help you, but I believe you have to start in Manage Characters mode.

It should be available in the PC / Characters section of the campaign labeled Thornkeep. If not, can you post a copy of the db.xml from your Thornkeep campaign directory. (accessible from the FG data directory by pressing folder button in upper right of launch screen.)

Welcome!

I think I've read elsewhere the easiest way is to start FG, from the launch screen click the folder icon in the top right. From there browse to where the converter is.

Not sure if it will run though since it's probably a Windows executable...

Yeah...I tried that and it said it can run it because it is a windows program. I really want to be able to use Fantasy Grounds but I am not that great with computers and it is looking like there needs to be a lot of hoop jumping to make it useful on a MACOS. Anyone have experience running it on MAC, that can get me going in the right direction? I've looked on youtube and there isn't anything there, and posts on forums is sparse.

Thanks for the welcome Dave

Thanks
Marcus

dedonta, if you use Parallels, you can run any program. I don't know wine, so I cannot help you with that.

Let me ask this...do I even need my players’ pc info, or do I as the GM get access to their character sheets once they join my campaign?

I really don’t see myself buying a program like parallels to run something I just paid money to play.

As answered in the other thread you asked this, yes you do.
