Is there a way to make a rectangular grid?

I have a map that is built with rectangular tiles (36x28 dimensions, aka a 9:7 ratio) and I'd love to be able to make a grid that matches. As it is, if I make the grid 36x36 or 28x28 then it cuts into other tiles and doesn't line up.

Nope, sorry, only square and hex at the moment.

Curious, I've never seen a rectangular grid, what game system is it for or do you have an example?

Ah, I remember that game. What I would do is use the Map Align utility or Gimp to make them square. You'll end up getting some distortion, but I don't think anyone would mind because it's already a pretty pixelated image.
