Curiosity about split modules

I have a little curiosity because the Call of Cthulhu's Ruleset has the book divided into smaller modules and not a single module like the other Rulesets?

That's because the original developer from 8+ years ago decided to build it that way. We recommend a single player's module and a single GM module for all new DLC products.
