I finally managed to get Character Converter to work. Usually I launch FG through Steam, but wasn't able to get CC to work correctly anymore for some reason. Using Crossover I was able to get CC to launch, after installing .Net 2.0 SP2 into it, so yay. However upon attempting to do the convert I get the following Unhandled Exception:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

How do I resolve this issue?

That looks like a missing function. Make sure you have installed the Character Converter correctly and that its not an older version.

Its also possible you have the wrong .Net version.

Latest download of both FG and Character Converter (it came from that install), also installed .Net 2.0 with SP2 downloaded from Microsoft the same day. Initially I used Wine Mono in another Wine/Crossover instance but that didn't work so I rebuilt it and installed .NET 2.

Other thoughts?

If you are using Wine/Mono its possible you need to contact them (or check their forums) because it looks like its trying to call a function that doesn't exist, it might be something to do with Wine/Mono not supporting that function call.

Its not Wine/Mono...I removed that and went with Wine(Crossover) and .NET 2 SP2.
