Do the players have to buy the adventure I am dming or do they just piggyback off of what I have ?

From what I understand, they just piggy back off the one on your computer (assuming you have the full version). They download the necessary files.

They get everything from you. If you were using a unique ruleset, they would automatically download that material as they logged in. Everything else related to the campaign lives on your machine. Technically, when you share maps and drawings the characters 'get' a copy of the image on their machine. (Unmasked too, which can be annoying if you have some devious players...)
