August 12th, 2017, 11:55
Open for 1-2 more players.

FG License: Ultimate (you can join with the Demo License)
Game System: D&D 5th Edition (within the Forgotten Realms)
Campaign: Lost Mine of Phandelver - Newbie Campaign to familiarize yourself with the game system. Starting from level 1 to level 5 at the end of the campaign
Language: English
Calendar link is here
https://goo.gl/8dSKut

Time Zone: GMT +3
Day of week and time: Every Friday at 7:00PM GMT+3.
Time can be altered/changed slightly. We can change days/times to suit the party if we can manage (my time is restrained)
If new game, planned start date: Starting from scratch, as soon as possible.
Planned Duration & Frequency: Planning to hold 1 Sessions on a weekly basis, if possible. The duration is 3 hours, until the first one drops out. Depending on the frequency of sessions.
Term: For the duration of the module. If the group gets along well we'll move into a new module

Text or Voice: Up to vote for players by majority rule, preferably voice.
Voice software used: Discord

Roleplay & Combat mix: Quite balanced with plenty incentives for players to get into roleplay.

Number of Players in game & needed: None ingame. Need 4-5 players.
Character starting level & equipment: Starting at Lvl 1. Most basic adventurer gear.
Preferred to use starter set characters available here
https://media.wizards.com/downloads/dnd/StarterSet_Charactersv2.pdf

Character restrictions: We will stay within the bounds of the official PHB, which means no UE and other extensive rulesets. PointBuy system.

Meet Me in Phandalin.
The characters are in the city of Neverwinter when their dwarf patron and friend, Gundren Rockseeker, hires them to escort a wagon to Phandalin. Gundren has gone ahead with a warrior, Sildar Haliwinter, to attend to business in the town while the characters follow with the supplies. The characters will be paid 10 gp each by the owner of Barthen's Provisions in Phandalin when they deliver the wagon safely to that trading post.

Note:
Hey all!
I'm looking 4-5 beginners who are interested trying out D&D 5th edition.
Age is 18+, we'll have one session a week as mentioned, until we finish the campaign.
Female applicants get priority, because diversity is good and access should be made easier for them in my opinion.
Overall, I wish to use this opportunity to experience D&D and allow a handful of people to access this game aswell. Group finding is tough with the lack of GMs.
Be responsible; if you are still compelled by your mommy to eat dinner and cannot say no, then maybe you shouldn't apply if it would constantly get in the way. I also hope that you are not one of those clowns who meme around all the time and keep drawing penises on the map. Immerse yourself in the game please.
Credit to user: Cr3d1tz, I took most of your announcement style and hope it's OK. It was so good I barely had much to change it.

What do I need?:
Basic knowledge of D&D 5e rules, there is no time to school everyone on everything. But feel free to ask me between sessions.
Demo license/client of FG.
Plenty of time in Friday evenings.
Friendly and respectful attitude.
It does help, if you can think up a character beforehand, but we can figure something out on the point if necessary (or you can play a pre-generated char).

What's the plan?:
Once the players are set in stone, we will hold one introductory session in FG where everyone can familiarize themselves with the client and D&D mechanics. I will be available for questions and those, who have not yet sketched out their characters, can do so then, with or without help. If you already have a character sheet/concept, even better, just tell me about it and I'll implement it. Should there still be time on hand after introductions, we might even play the first encounter of the game to wrap up the session.
We will use PointBuy or standard array for the character creation. I recommend: Orc Pub Character Builder. It's a good tool to draft a fresh character.

About me:
I'm a 30 years old male, I live in Saudi Arabia so I'm only free on Friday evenings.
I've hosted a few sessions in real life but I'm still a bit newbie. This will my first one online.
My knowledge of the 5e ruleset is fair enough to make the attempt at hosting LMoP for 4-5 other newbies, my real life players enjoy my Dming and hopefully I'll be able to give you a good time as well.
I am quite easygoing, but I heavily insist on punctuality and coordination effort. I do like to hug my rulebook for most stuff, but I do think that I'm able to show plenty of flexibility in handling ingame situations.

Hope you don't mind if I join as well!
I'm a 46 year old guy from Sweden - thats just a bit northwest of Saudi so almost the same timezone :-) Just got FG and are just now teaching my daughters to play using FG and two screens. But wouldn't mind playing myself! Only have PHB and new to 5e and online playing.

If you still have room for one more, I can hop in. I am also willing to take any character type that the group might be missing, so Mr. A., if you could recommend a pre-built character that would help balance out the party, I am happy to use it... Also, I am in Seattle WA, USA, so please correct me if I am wrong but your start time of 7PM GMT+3 is 3PM my time (PST)? I can do that time...

RunningHill

Timezones are confusing - I think PST is 8 hour before GMT and that would make it more like 09:00 (AM). Source (https://greenwichmeantime.com/time-gadgets/time-zone-converter/)

Hey there, Mr.Aljabry. It's nice seeing that you appreciated my recruitment text :)
As fate wills it, I now come to you with interest in joining today's game. I have already applied on the Game Calendar.

If you have a free spot for me, I'd appreciate it. What I bring to your table is a Human Ranger, who will be the watchful eye of the party. I will be a careful, always vigilant man, to try and keep my party alive.

I have finished my character and he is ready to play at Lvl 1. I wonder how far your campaign already went?

Looking forward to good news.

Character info:
Name: Cornelius Brennar
Race: Human
Class: Ranger
Alignment: Lawful Good
Appearance: A stout figure clad in hide and leather armor. His face is chiseled into a masculine square jaw with an assertive gaze. His brown eyes are surrounded by the dark shade of eye rings. Overall he appears like a weathered man, who has had his share of danger. His posture does not command attantion, but rather the opposite.
Background: Cornelius is a humble man of humble origins. He grew up in a village and learned the longbow since young. Once he had reached the age where he finally was considered a man by village customs, he set out with the hunting party to learn the ropes. Honing his craft of tracking and hunting down prey, refining the pelts and furts, he grew up to be a strong and respected villager. He would roam the woods, nimbly drifting inbetween the lush trees of the verdant and green paradise that he considered his home to be. Winters tended to be rough and for the sake of his fellow villagers he would often set out by himself to hunt the scarce prey. It was during one of those times that he had earned himself the status of a Folk Hero among the villagers.

I do have an adventure hook. There is a reason for why Cornelius left his village. As for Gundren Rockseeker and Cornelius, they know each other from when Gundren and his brothers passed through his village and the former promised that if he ever looked for an opportunity, that he ought to seek him out in Neverwinter, for a village is limited and so is the quality of life there. Cornelius met him to take him up on his word, having weathered the journey to Neverwinter on foot.
