Does anyone know about any attempts to get some sweet color combinations for the dice models like the kind Chessex makes? I know I haven't been the only one to think it'd be sweet to have your favorite dice virtualized for your favorite game.

Can't currently be done. The dice model, other than color, is controlled in the core app and is not accessible in the xml/lua part of the code that can be customized with an extension.

Perhaps in Unity. I'm looking forward to being able to import our own asset bundles if that is available.

This might be a bit much for a follow up, but what are the general limitations of the core app?

Hmm... well I'm not really much a community developer so I've only poked in the barest bit under the hood. So I'm sure I will not be 100% on this.;

Generally,
- The interface; such as window dressings, sizes, locations can all be customized. This includes things like a character sheet and the fields etc used in them.
- Game mechanics; think of anything that might be different between D&D and Savage Worlds can all be customized, this includes the creation of new rule systems.

The dice, and the physics engine behind them, are the only thing at the moment I can think of that can't be changed.

I just want a scan of water buffalo horn (https://www.artisandice.com/order/water-buffalo-horn-round-2-2/)or gatorbone dice (https://www.artisandice.com/order/gator-jawbone-red-snapper/) to roll.

Those gatorbones are gorgeous!

They are. And only $63 each.

Cheaper than the buffalo horn at $76. Which are basically sold out...

Definitely out of my budget to spend on dice (was it $350 for a full set of gatorbone?). But they sure are pretty.

They have bison horn (https://www.artisandice.com/order/american-bison-horn/) which are real similar to the water buffalo, cheaper and in stock.

Yep, saw that. It's cool too, but no gatorbone... that stuff is REALLY nice but just so expensive :(
