Forum/ ID search

Just as a thought I was surfing the forums today and thought it might be nice to be able to search the forums for topic to limit the redundent postings of the same questions. Just a thought from a new customer.

If you go to Search or Advanced Search, can we not already do this? I suspect it is a lack of effort or awareness of people rather than a limitation in the forum.

If my post offended you so much you did not need to be rude just move on to the next thread and leave it to someone else to reply. You might take these things for granted but those of us that don't live on our computers don't know how things like this are set up. You might know that if you got out a little more often.

Ok, we have a lot of sensitivity around here as of late. :)

I certainly wasn't trying to be rude or offend or even criticize you in any way. I guess I was making a generalization as I see this to be a pervasive problem on many forums I hang out in and it is always a headache for forum moderators. And I see that I should have elaborated to say as much so that my one-liner couldn't be misinterpreted as a shot.

Please believe I meant no offense to you or anyone.

I know and I see it now. I'll be more cautious in the future. I sometimes am too succinct. (...and surly, admittedly. :rolleyes: )

I appriciate your apolige and wish to reply with one of my own. I did looked at your profile and learned that you are a hiking and other out door sport hobbiest and would like to appoligize for my comments. I hope I can count on you if I can not find the FG Home page?:D
