Has anyone made an effect for Savage Attacks to automatically add the extra damage dice upon a crit? If you have, how did you do it?

Not sure. Is it a class or racial ability? If class; check at the top of this thread is a sticky about "Resources". In there are sample characters up to level 20 with all the class abilities automated when possible.

If it's a race, you will have to go to the DMsGuild. There is a racial pack there that has done the same thing.

This is a racial ability for half-orcs.

I did this for the racial abilities

For Savage Attacks, I created each possible damage die that could be used. If you are targetted on the enemy, you could just hit the correct die; or you can drag and drop it on them.

You can set this up without needing to set up extra powers/effects etc, by going to the character sheet, Actions tab, navigate to top of the weapons window and click on the magnifying glass you see there https://puu.sh/wxQnT/9dee1c7b5d.jpg
It will open this window, where you can adjust those things, including crit range and extra crit dice as shown here https://puu.sh/wxQp3/6be9474342.jpg

Try this as an effect the player keeps on them

Savage Atk; DMG: 1d8 critical

Like you , he does one for each weapons Savage Attack longsword, Great axe.. etc

I had known about the crit range part (but always forget about it) but the dice part I had always missed. Your method here looks to work great! Much simpler.

More correctly this should be DMG: 1d8, melee, critical. Since the ability only works with melee damage

Anyone have a link to the images that still work?

Hi phygon welcome to FG.

Not on my computer to send you a pictur but look at the top of the actions tab. You’ll see a magnifying class at the end of the weapons line. Click it to open the dialog where you can enter the extra dice.

has anyone made a code for NPCs to allow for savage attack?
