In my previous post (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3875)we talked about how to fully set the basics for a good ruleset. Now we're gonna talk about something more advanced. The data itself.

Want only d6's to show up for FG? It can be done.

Once you have set your ruleset up with the basics, go back into the "resource.pak" file and extract the data folder into your ruleset directory (i.e. "[FG Root]\rulesets\Pentays_Rules\data"). This will enable you to extract everything, the whole kit and kaboodle that FG references.

Then go into the data folder and start editing the .XML files so that all references to data are prefixed with "ruleset\[ruleset name]\data". There are a lot! But once you link the files, you can change anything, from the graphical interface to the type of die you use.

This will however make your ruleset very big. Just extracting the d20 and data folders into a ruleset made it over 11MB! I haven't even started adding the custom content yet!

Hope this helps if you've been having trouble.

Oh, P.S. Dice are located under the game elements.xml
