Just a quick notice as I made an edit for any DMs who are interested. Should have this utility out in a few days.

My Chat Log Utility is now out. It can be downloaded from:

It has the following features:

1) Remove OOC.
2) Remove PMs to Players
3) Removes PMs from Players
4) Mask DM dice rolls (Thus 1d20+2 = 17 becomes 1d20+2 = ??)
5) Remove "Campaign Saved" system event.
6) Remove connection alerts (NAME has connected).
7) Remove identification alerts (NAME identified as CHARACTER).
8) Split log files into daily logs.

Please let me know if anyone has any more suggestions or run into any bugs.
It does require the .NET 2.0 Framework but if the installer does not detect it will stream it to you from Microsoft's site.

Just to let you know, I love this tool. Makes posting the session logs a snap. My one request would be something to set font and colors to something other than the defaults that FG produces.

Off to get the latest version so I no longer have to delete logs each week!

I could maybe do the font thing. Only problem with that is they would be uneditable from that point on since I scan for default colors to determine certain things.

Since I can identify certain things by default font color I could perhaps transform the lines to XML so they could be aware what type of chat line they are, would allow for a lot more options. Something to think about, will put in on my list of things to do.

Ack! These links are broken!

Does anyone know if this is still around, or a similar or superior tool for formatting campaign logs for blogging it or what have you? :)

Love the program for FG1 but it doesn't seem to work with FG2. Any chance it will be updated with the new programing? :D
