Heart of Hruggek Trait for Bugbear Chief reads as follows: The bugbear has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, frightened, paralyzed, poisoned, stunned, or put to sleep. If a wizard casts a sleep spell, there is no save. The player rolls dice and that is the number of HP of the creature(s) with the lowest total are affected. How do you adjudicate this?

There may be other things which allow a saving throw (although I can't think of any offhand) so the saving throw advantage would be for that. In the case of the Wizard's sleep spell since there is no saving throw the Chief falls for the spell just like any other creature would.

Yea, the Chief gets no save for a sleep spell, but I would try to have him affected last (and given that he probably has the most hit points in the group, that would be likely to happen anyway.)

They can also easily be awoken by any other nearby creatures, so at most sleep is only ever going to keep a big bad out of the fight for a round, which isn't really game breaking to allow, especially since it breaks on damage.
