There is an interesting map tool on Kickstarter called MapForge. Looks very good and will have a lot of content. Suggest you get in on it before it ends! :o If we can get about $1500 more pledges, it will unlock more free content! (63K Strech in sight!) Let's show our support and get a license! See link below.
