Plans for 3D environment?

I have read a lot about FG future conversion to 3D using the Unity Gaming Engine, but there is really noting concrete about these future plans. I also read where FG was going to team up with Tabletop Connect, but it looks like those plans might have fallen through. Is there anything solid about these plans, and if not what is projected?
