Hello I am seriously looking at getting Fantasy Grounds.. but I am curious if I can use it with other systems besides d20. Most importantly... Warhammer and Castles and Crusades.

Thanks

The character sheets (from what I understand) are entirely focused on the standard D&D 3.5 edition ruleset. However, I think I read somewhere in these forums a way to implement other rulesets. The default reference material in the application are by the d20 rules, but they can be completely changed into what you want.

However, character sheets aside, you can play by almost any ruleset you want. If you've tried the demo, you'll have noticed most of the features. The dice rules can be according to what you want, and you can implement any of your maps and tokens (just keep in mind that for some wierd and bizarre reason, there are minimum and maximum size limits to the map frame).

Now, ignore all that, I'm going to take this opportunity to be like most everyone else and tell you that this is an awesome program that I think you'll be very happy with, and to not care about any of the negative parts of it and just buy buy buy!!!

It is most certainly possible to use any system with FG, but it takes quite a lot of work as you have to create your own rulesystem as Alkaven mentions. The rulesystem is defined in XML, with the help of images that displays such things as character sheets and so on. It can be overwhelming to look at it at first, but it is easy once you get the hang of it. Just about everything can be changed as well. I've redone the whole thing - character sheets, reference material, NPC-sheets, combat-tracker, even the desktop icons has been changed. So most things are possible if you are willing to devote time on it. I've think I read something about a rulesystem on Warhammer but I don't know if it was ever finished or not.

Yeah, well that could be changed too.
