Getting a players Notes from another Ruleset

Greetings,

The Gurps ruleset has recently been upgraded, and I am faced with a player (same campaign) who'd like to bring his Player notes (not the character's notes) along.

Where do they exist? On his computer, or mine? Is there .xml file that I could mess with somewhere?

One way you would be able to move it is to start the old ruleset, copy past into a text file, make a new note in the new ruleset and past it in there.

What about copying them from character notes to Story items and then exporting those to a module?

Look for them in the XML, search for a phrase you know is in it. Then copy it from that?


Maybe even have the player create a dummy placeholder in new system. Look at it in his xml. See if the old one looks similar, if it does, try copy-pasting entire note node structure over. But there is always just the option of copying the text to a notepad then from notepad to FG again.
