Hey folks! Hope you are well.

I'm getting ready to start up an OotA campaign. I have the maps from the OotA module. I have Zacchaeus' map module (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?26028-Zacchaeus-Out-of-the-Abyss-Map-mod&highlight=oota+maps) as well. However, I was looking for more generic Underdark or cavern battlemaps.

I have found tons of dungeon-crawl-y large underground maps I could use. But I'm looking for something that we can use when they have random encounters.

I am thinking about using donjon's map creator (https://donjon.bin.sh/fantasy/dungeon/), which has an option for caverns.

I wanted to check, however, to see if anyone else knew of a set of small battlemap cavern resources.

Anyone have thoughts?

There are a few in the battle map module that comes with FG.

The original Kickstarter for this had good underdark battle maps and good generic battle maps as well:

I bought maps specifically made for OotA from the DM guild authored by John Bard . I think I got 25 of them the res is 2150x3250 of the one Im checking now. Cost was about 5.00 well worth it as far as Im concerned.it covers random caverns , Darklake and the spider web caverns.,.When I run this module ill certainly use these maps.. they do come in .rar format I had to get a .rar unpacker to unpack them .
the download hade pdf with the maps and *jpg.. Im not sure if the *.rar unpacker extracted the *jpg or if they were included but I got both .

Ooh, nice. :)

That resolution should be reduced for Fantasy Grounds use - the recommended maximum for normal maps is 2048x2048. Depending on the actual size of the map (in feet) that can usually be reduced more - aim for 50 pixels per 5' square as a starting point when resizing.
