Story Links and Tables

Did not know where to put this request, so I entered it here. I was wondering if there could be a way for a future upgrade to include the ability to add a link to a table field in a Story entry? I would use it for Item lists myself but I'm sure someone could come up with other ideas on this usage.
As an example, you create a Story and add a table to it. Create three fields per line.
Field 1: Item Name
Field 2: Item Price
Field 3: Link to the item

But, I'm 90% certain you can already do this... Just drag the link to the story or item to the table cell you want it in. Maybe I'm wrong, but did you try and get an error or am I misunderstanding what you want to do?

I tried it in the past but it did nothing. The link just does not show up. Let me try it real quick and see if it does work. BRB ;)

It actually deletes the field you try to put it in. I think it has something to do that links are considered a line type. You also cannot have a header type in a cell. You can bold and italicize though.

claedawg can you give details of what you're trying to do please? I don't think any of us are clear on your issue and your end goal.

This part is true, this is because both List and Link are paragraph types and are therefore mutually exclusive (Just like I can't make a List a Header too, etc).

But here's an example of a table with Links in it (from Agmar's Gems! module)

But, as you pointed out, just like mixing paragraph types, I can't put two paragraph types in the same cell. You can always just put the link in the cell and then overwrite the default link text with anything you want.

I think you might benefit from a look at Story Templates (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Story_Templates) since that sounds a bit more like the thing that you would need to employ to achieve your ends.

Basically, I was wondering if an update could come out where the link is changed to something other than paragraph style so that it could be entered on the table cell. Basically, just to have a way of having a price list with a link to the actual item. I don't think the Story Template will do that either as you would still have the same issue. Although, after thinking about it I probably should just do the link under each table entry of the price list instead of doing a list of links at the end of the price list table. The comment was really for the developer to do a feature change more than for help trying to do something. That's why I wasn't sure that this was the best area to post it in.
