Let's suppose I'm using critical hit tables from Dragon Magazine #39...

Making the tables is easy peasy. Substituting the completed tables for the default critical table and default fumble table is also easy.

Is there a way, in the initial default crit table to call the Dragon crit table appropriate for the roller's weapon type (bludgeoning, slashing, piercing)?
Is there a way to alter how crits and fumbles are calculated?

I thought I might be able to do the above due to the fact that the game understands the difference between piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning. I attempted to use the DMGTYPE syntax, but was unable to make it work. I'm guessing it'll take a dedicated mod.
