Hi, I'm new to FG and am getting ready for my first campaign. I picked up the ultimate license because as I understood it, demo people would be able to read the PHB and such while in my game. I have a couple friends who I know won't be able to buy FG and all the books so this was an easy way to help them out. Yet when I bring one friend into my test game while I'm messing around with stuff, making sure I understand how everything works, his library was blank. I had listed everything player related as available to the players, did one of us miss something? Is there an extra step to this? Or did I totally misunderstand what the ultimate license does? It's about the only point of FG I need to mess with before I feel like I could get the campaign rolling.

Welcome to the forums Miatog

The player will have to press the "Modules" button in the library and open the individual library modules they wish to see.

A recommendation - don't share every player related module you have with the players, if you have the PHB then you don't need to share the SRD, etc.. The player side of FG will download and open everything in a module (if the player opens every possible module) and this has a direct impact on FG efficiency.

Additional info that might help - you can see what the players see by launching another instance of FG on the same computer as the GM instance and "Join Game" with a server address of localhost You'll find this invaluable in learning what the players see and also to help check on libraries etc. and to be able to talk the players through doing "stuff".
